Dear Community Partner
The Cape Verdean Nurses Association strongly commits to fostering a healthier Cabo Verdean community. Our dedication lies in the persistent efforts to educate and create health promotion initiatives that raise awareness of one’s health and the health problems in our community. Additionally, our programs, nursing scholarships and global health, boost the representation of Cabo Verdeans in the healthcare system, which in turn helps reduce health disparities through provider racial and ethnic congruence.
In October, as part of our global health initiative, a delegation of fourteen healthcare professionals traveled to Praia, Cape Verde, collaborating closely with local healthcare experts. This immersive experience aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange among healthcare professionals and enrich the visiting professionals’ understanding of the health infrastructure, and social and other health determinants in Cabo Verde. The cultural and healthcare knowledge transfer helps our CVNA members be better-advanced healthcare providers in our local communities in the USA.
As a non-profit 501c (3) organization, our 6th Fundraising Gala, “Kultura Ta Kura,”(Culture Cures), supports all our health promotion activities for the community and other programs we carry throughout the year. On Saturday, April 26th, at Blue Hill Country Club, we will begin our evening at 7 pm by honoring our accomplishments for the year with a sit-down dinner, silent auction, entertainment, and awards ceremony.
Please consider joining us as a sponsor and partner in this important work. Your sponsorship would enable us to sustain and broaden our impactful mission initiatives.
With warm regards,
